Back In Business!!!

Shelly here~
with the beginning of what I hope will be an even more fun, exciting web page/blog, for all our friends and family. Our Yahoo360 page became stalled after they stopped integrating the photo album feature. That made everything a pain. But after many, many hours of trial and error, I believe I may have cracked this Blogging nut, and now we look to be in store for much more fun with integrated slide shows, videos, interactive polls for everyone, and links to some of our (read MY) favorite websites.

Just to bring everyone up to speed, Hanna is growing, as they say, like a weed. We are all preparing for a new little baby boy, due late June or early July. We are all waiting on pins and needles for Ron's next duty assignment, as we have no idea anymore where we will go next, or when. So with that in mind, we are also trying to get our ducks in a row and get our house ready for going on the market (***groan***). Luckydog is doing well and is getting more walks in the neighborhood lately, since our back yard is all wet from the constant rain/melting snow. I am continuing to work as in investigator. Hanna attends daycare on post. And I am trying to plan for the birth of our son, with my previous CESAREAN ever on my mind.

I would like to avoid Cesarean Section in the future and I am considering all sorts of options which are making Ron delirious with angst, such as midwives, doulas, water birthing/ VBACs......(look it up). I am constantly on the search for support in avoiding the Cattle Drive to the OR that seems to be taking place in Labor & Delivery rooms across America. Most family around me can't understand this but I feel so strongly about it. I am doing everything I can to drum up literature, studies, statistics, etc....to state my case, but many are not interested. Enough about that. Just my current hopes and fears, as they all mingle with the rest of the goings-on of our family.....very, very busy!

Ron and Hanna are getting over a yucky bit of a chest cold. I kept Hanna home all last week and Ron had quarters for most of the week. He wasn't doing so well. But he is on the mend, and Hanna is almost good as new! I was affected to a lesser degree than they were, and I am doing fine.

Lots and lots of love to our family and friends! Hope to hear from you all soon. And I definitely hope you all enjoy our blog!

Hey Shelly! Beautiful new blog! Love it! :)
Stick to your guns on what you want with your baby boy's birth (as if you wouldn't)! You definitely have my full support, and an ear if you need one! (And I even know what VBAC stands for! :P) Great to hear from you! Miss you lots!
Love,
~Holly
